Busy Lizzie (Impatiens walleriana )
Busy Lizzie is commonly known as Impatiens, maria-sem-vergonha, or balsams. It originated in Eastern Africa, ranging from Kenya to Mozambique; however its versatility has allowed it to adapt and become the most popular invasive ornamental plant in Brazil and United States. 1 Here, at the EARJ ecosystem, they are part of the undergrowth of the forest, and is located in the shaded areas behind the blocks and surrounding the field.
