This animal primarily inhabits lowland forests and open woodlands and roost in tall tree-tops. They are not solitary birds and are usually found in pairs, and can take part in flocks of up to 50 birds. They are diurnal, and a relatively quiet compared to other birds of its community. Their docile nature allows them to be easiily domesticated and and in the household rarely displaay aggresion to their owners. They are coveted by exotic pet owners for their sociability.
